Tagus 2003
This section covers 2 trips on the Tagus in 2003. The Tagus rises in the
mountains of central Spain and flows into the sea near Lisbon in Portugal.
Part 1: Canoe tour on Rio Alagon & Rio Tajo in Spain
I canoed down a section of the Rio Alagon, a tributary of the Tagus, then up a
section of the Tagus where the Alcantara dam forms a huge reservoir.
Part 2: Canoe tour on Rio Tejo in Portugal
This Tagus in Portugal is free-flowing from just below the border with Spain. I
ended the tour just above Lisbon.
