Canoe Guide - Åker-Vagnhärad
                                            Canoe Tours in Sörmland :Åker-Vagnhärad

I have not canoed this route.
On this route you paddle down many small lakes, separated by short portages.

Start: Åkers Styckebruk. Åkers Styckebruk is on highway E20 west of Stockholm.

Finish: Vagnhärad is on highway E4 SW of Stockholm.

Portages: 5 portages, 0.1 - 0.9 km

Distance: 40 km

Difficulty: Easy

Maps: There is a good canoe map and description for this route.

 The route:
Launch at the west shore of lake Visnaren at Åker and paddle down to the SE end of the lake where
there is a 40m portage into lake Marviken. There are 3 more short portages as you make your way down to
lake Klämmingen and paddle down this lake to lake Frösjön and on to Gnesta. Here there is a 900m
portage into lake Sillen. You paddle down this lake to enter the small stream, Trosaån and quickly reach
Vagnhärad.

Alternative finish: It is possible to portage from Klämmingen via some small lakes into lake Yngern
and end the tour at Nykvarn
