PCT 2002 - Prologue April 7th
Prologue: Sunday 7th April Deep Creek Hot Springs
It got quite cold overnight, but the temperature rose rapidly once the sun had
appeared above the hillside. It was Sunday and by mid-morning on about 50 people had
arrived at The Springs, but the site was large enough to accommodate them as long as
privacy wasn’t wanted. Unlike the evening session, naked bodies were now in a minority,
but the naked and clothed mixed without any problems. Once it warmed up I joined one
of the naked groups and spent the morning in the pools and sunbathing on the grass
beside the pools.
So far the weather in California had been relatively cool but today saw the start of a
heat wave and by the time I left the temperature had reached 97ºF.
I returned to my hire car by the same route and then completed the drive back to
Escondido where I was staying with Greg and Irene High.
